I’m having a cluttered brain moment day here and I’m trying to find a little focus by plopping this all down onto paper, or the electronic equivalent thereof.
Worst things first. Justin pointed me toward this article. Just when you think you’re heard the worst of the crazy, it turns out that it’s right in your backyard. We drove past this area last weekend! We must have been within a few miles of this house. I used to live in the town where this man worked and my brother still lives there in the home my parents own. How could this disgusting behavior have been happening so close to home! It’s supposed to stay far, far away from my world. This close is very upsetting.
And how do I transition away from something that dreadful? By trying to find a bookstore nearby. I want to go out this weekend, since it’s our weekend of relaxing, and Justin hasn’t been to the local Barnes and Noble. So I’ve managed to find the store and now I’m trying to find a nice, not-too-expensive place to have dinner. Not too expensive but still date-like. I’m not having too much luck. I think we might just end up picking one we see while we’re around there. And that’ll be just fine.
For some reason earlier, I was going to write about my morning and what I do and my routine and all of that. But now I can’t remember why that sounded like something interesting to do. I’ll probably still do it, but not today.
My desk chair at work is dying. I’m pretty sure the piece of metal that holds the seat to the rollers isn’t connected anymore because when I sit down, I have to concentrate so I don’t fall over sideways. When I lean, the whole chair leans with me. I haven’t fallen over yet, but that day is not long off.
It’s raining. A lot. I wish I owned a pair of Wellies.
My cell phone battery is dead. I suspect it’s because it didn’t get a full charge last night. The phone is over two years old and the metal bracket that the charger clips into has disconnected from the phone. It now lives attached to the charger cord. Every night I perform a balancing trick to get the disconnected metal bracket to touch the inside of the phone in the right way so it’ll charge overnight. And I have to charge it every night because the battery won’t hold a charge for longer than a day. I should really try to find some super-glue to fix it, but I haven’t had any luck finding any. I may just break down and hit the store this weekend for some.
I was going to hit the local farmer’s market tonight, but I suspect that the farmers are all smart enough to stay out from this weather. I’ll have to try next week.
I like my handwriting. I didn’t for a long time. Probably because it was horrible chicken scratching. But what do you know! Doodling letters has made a difference and it’s looking better. I’ll never have handwriting as beautiful as my sister’s, but I’m pretty darn pleased with how it’s looking.
Alright. Time to get ready to go home.
